Main Purpose of Job

This position is a member of the Provider Enrollment Unit. The individual is responsible for logging and tracking new, already-on and re-enrollment applications received in the unit. In addition, the individual will be keying in new provider applications into the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS II). The individual also answers phone calls for the unit and provides customer service to the provider community concerning how to enroll to become a Medicaid provider. This requires a thorough and complete understanding of the enrollment requirements in the various program areas of the Program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience:  One year of clerical experience applying policies in a medical care, health insurance or federal or State entitlement program.

NOTES:

1.  Additional general clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2.  Thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience.

None.
