Main Purpose of Job

The Rehabilitation Services Director is responsible for successful operation of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Therapy and Therapeutic Recreation and the patients they serve. The focus of Rehabilitation Services is to maximize the independence of those patients/residents in the Comprehensive Care, High Intensity Medical and Brain Injury Programs. The manager oversees, monitors and trends quality initiatives and patient outcomes and shares these with the various stakeholders. He/She is responsible for the strategic planning, resource allocation, ongoing performance improvement, treatment coordination, financial performance, staff education, evaluation and performance. The Rehab Services Director supervises the Physical Therapy Supervisor, Speech/Language Therapy Supervisor, the Occupational Therapy staff and the Therapeutic Recreator Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring compliance with all CARF, The Joint Commission and OHCQ standards as well as conformance with all State and Federal guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess a current Maryland license as an occupational, physical therapist or speech/language pathologist from the applicable Maryland Board, a Master's Degree or higher in Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy, or related field and 5 years of supervisory experience with 3 years managing an interdisciplinary team.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Long term care and inpatient experience is preferred.
