LOCATION OF POSITION

DHCD's Headquarters Office is located in Prince George's County at the New Carrollton Metro stop.

POSITION DUTIES

DHCD has an immediate opening for a Loan Processor. The Loan Processor in the Single Family Homeownership program: (1) coordinate the single family direct loan underwriting application process from receipt of loan application to loan closing; (2) initially process pre-closing compliance loan packages from participating lenders; (3) initially process project applications from sponsors; (4) prepare the monthly report, the project pipeline report and the project status report for the Mortgage Finance section; and (5) assist in developing administrative procedures to facilitate loan processing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications are required. Please read carefully.

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years of experience processing and closing loans for secured mortgages or mortgage insurance.

Note:

  1. Additional experience as described above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
  2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in the Loan Specialist classification series or Loan Specialist specialty codes on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Successful applicants will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
