This office is approximately 95 miles Southeast of Baltimore, 75 miles Southeast of Washington, DC and 95 miles Northeast of Richmond, Virginia.

Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of the Job Developer position is to interact with the employer community, Family Investment staff, TCA, FSET and NPEP customers in order to develop job openings, work experience placement sites, gather employment information, and provide direct job placement services that offer Family Investment customers opportunities to develop work-related skills, as well as obtain and retain employment that leads to self-sufficiency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One year of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.

Notes:

1. Additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Applicants may substitute education at the graduate level at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 semester hours per year for the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A working knowledge of community partners and support services in St. Mary's County, MD.
  • Valid Driver's license in good standing (less than 6 points).

Limited to candidates willing to accept employment in Lexington Park Maryland which is in St. Mary's County.
