Main Purpose of Job

This position maintains the plumbing and heating components of forty-two Maryland Army National Guard Facilities, including 342 buildings, one operational airfield, and four Military Training sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of the eighth grade.

Experience: Two years experience as a journeyman plumber, one year of which includes installing and repairing sanitary plumbing appliances.

Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in utilities repair classifications or construction and engineering specialty codes in the plumbing field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Possession of a Maryland Journeyman/Gas Fitter License is required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees will be required to obtain a government security clearance.
