Main Purpose of Job

This position, serving as a Clinical Director, is responsible for the overall quality of clinical services at Eastern Shore Hospital Center and provides supervision to clinical department heads. This position receives managerial supervision from the Hospital Chief Executive Officer.  Job duties include direct supervision of all clinical services insuring compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Maryland Law, DHMH policies and procedures and Joint Commission standards; providing clinical-administrative supervision, leadership, and consultation to Medical staff and insuring timely delivery of in-patient services to consumers having court involvement.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires MD degree from an accredited college or university, Board Certification in Psychiatry, and a minimum of two years of experience in the practice of inpatient psychiatric care and administration.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
