JOB OVERVIEW

Performs responsible facility and grounds maintenance duties for stadium sports and events.

Employees in this class perform duties of average difficulty requiring reasonable initiative and independent judgment under general supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of ninth grade; and Possession of a valid Driver License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Working irregular schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays and adjustments of leave, shifts, and breaks, which may be required upon short notice.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle between sites.
  • Knowledge of event operations and maintenance of public assembly facilities.
  • Working knowledge in the use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of safety procedures in the use of supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to follow established policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Assists with, oversees and directs operational, procedural activities associated with the operation of a stadium.
  • Assists electricians, plumbers, masons, landscapers, maintenance, HVAC and equipment mechanics in operating and repairing gas/electric equipment.
  • Paints, caulks and spackles.
  • Mows grass, trims hedges, plant and spray/weed landscaping beds.
  • Cleans and replaces supplies in restrooms and disposes of trash.
  • Sweeps floors and cleans sidewalks.
  • Reports damages to facilities, grounds and equipment.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
