Summary Statement

The incumbent in this position performs oral prophylaxes (dental cleanings), takes and develops x-rays, and applies topical fluorides and sealants on children in the dental clinic.  Duties include: developing and implementing individualized preventive dental care plans for patients, performing patient education, post-op dental discharge instructions and care-giver instructions under the supervision of the supervising Dentist, assisting with clerical and administrative tasks including infection control procedures, supply inventory management, Medicaid verification, and front desk reception.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Dental Hygienist
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Possession of a Delaware Dental Hygienist License or eligibility for a Delaware license.
  2. Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

Conditions of Hire
