Summary Statement

The seasonal Boat House Attendant Position is responsible for operating and maintaining the functions of the boat rental facility for the public including handling money and record keeping.  Duties may vary for each facility.  Work is performed indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions.  Applicants must be available to work weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled.   

Essential Functions

Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all position in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class.  Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.

  • Operate boat rental facility.
  • Assist with maintenance boat rentals, including money  handling and paperwork.
  • Assist with maintenance of rental equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and park information to visitors.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Seasonal Boat House Attendant
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Experience working with money and making change.
  2. Knowledge of math such as addition and subtraction.
