The Agency
We are currently recruiting for a vacancy in the Alameda County Workforce Development Board (ACWDB) within the Social Services Agency. Assignment to the Secretary II position at the ACWDB supports a 27-member board of directors representing a cross-section of business leaders, representatives from economic development, higher education, and community-based organizations, AND supports the board’s executive director on a daily basis. The incumbent works in very dynamic and professional environment and will perform tasks appropriate for senior-level management. The ACWDB administers the Alameda County’s state, federal, and discretionary workforce funding, implements a myriad of innovative programs, and builds strategic partnerships focused on: removing barriers to employment, improving access to training, and mitigating job loss.
The eligible list resulting from this recruitment may be used by any County department or agency needing to fill any future vacancies that may occur within the next year.
The Position
Incumbents in Secretary II positions, under general supervision of an administrator who has authority over a department or division, perform a wide variety of difficult to complex secretarial and clerical duties; relieve an administrator of administrative details; may supervise a clerical unit; and perform other related duties as required.
