Capital Projects Management Division
The Department of General Services assists County departments in achieving their public service mission by providing essential support services through creative, innovative, and sensible business solutions. General Services fosters a collaborative, customer service-oriented culture that strives for continuous improvement.
The Capital Projects Management (CPM) Division is responsible for managing real estate development and building/improvement projects that house County programs and services using a wide variety of project delivery methods for:
General Services is looking for a qualified Capital Projects Coordinator - Senior with advanced level experience managing county facilities improvement projects including new construction renovation, space utilization, and capital improvement planning. This position reports to the Capital Projects Manager who manages the CPM Division.

Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college with a major in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, Public Administration or a closely related field; AND
Experience: Four years of full-time paid experience in an architectural, engineering, real estate project management/development, or managing construction projects with responsibility for cost recommendations, contract administration and quality control; AND
Licensing, Certification and Registration:
Note: All licenses, certificates and registrations must be kept current while employed in this class.

To be eligible, applicants must have served at least 181 consecutive days of active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States and have received either an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions. A copy of the DD214, showing discharge type, must be received in the Human Resources Department by the final filing date.
Veteran applicants for initial County employment with an honorable or general discharge under honorable conditions shall have five (5) points added to their combined score. Disabled veterans (rated at not less than 30% disability) shall have ten (10) points added to their combined score. Veteran preference points will only be added to passing scores in competitive open examinations.
