Student Nursing Assistant III - SJGH

Recruitment #0115-TH9257-TM

Introduction

This recruitment has been opened to fill part-time Student Nursing Assistant vacancies in various departments at San Joaquin General Hospital.  Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of an application. A completed application must be postmarked or received online by the final filing deadline.

The Student Nursing Assistant Program

The Student Nursing Assistant Program at San Joaquin General Hospital was developed to allow students who are currently enrolled in a  collegiate-level registered nurse education program the opportunity to obtain paid work experience in an acute care hospital setting during academic and clinical training.

This program consists of four levels in the classification series of Student Nursing Assistant. The Student Nursing Assistant III position is the third level. This program allows accepted students to enter part-time employment during the 1st semester of the approved registered nurse education program and continue employment through the last academic  semester. As students progress through each  level, continued employment is based upon successful academic achievement and satisfactory workplace performance.

Once a student obtains a Registered Nurse license or a Interim Permit, there may be opportunities for future employment as a licensed Registered Nurse at San Joaquin General Hospital.
