SALARY: $1980.00 - $2407.20 bi-weekly (approximately $4290-$5216 per month) In addition, a 7.5% supplemental is paid for staff assigned to 24-hour operation departments. This examination is being given to fill vacancies as they occur at San Joaquin General Hospital, a 233 bed acute care teaching hospital and affiliated outpatient clinics. TYPICAL DUTIES Under direction, registered nurses perform professional nursing care and treatment of the physically and mentally ill. The Staff Nurse III is the journey level and employees in this classification are expected to possess a thorough working knowledge of nursing care principles and practices and to be capable of performing difficult assignments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Licenses: Current registration as a nurse in the State of California or possession of an interim permit issued by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing. NOTE: COPY OF LICENSE/PERMIT MUST BE ATTACHED TO APPLICATION. Experience: Six months of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care facility. Substitution: Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing may be substituted for the required experience. Special Requirement: Possession of a San Joaquin County Mobile Intensive Care Nurse Certificate (MICN), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate, completion of an approved ICU/CCU training course, or other approved training may be required for assignment or continued assignment to specialized nursing units.
