This position includes complex and difficult traffic sign manufacture, repair and installation activities,operation of pavement striping machine and layout of traffic signs.
To plan, organize, direct and supervise traffic sign maintenance operations within the Road Division of the Public Works Department; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
The Supervisor level recognizes positions that perform full, first-line supervisory responsibilities including planning, assigning and evaluating the work of subordinates and are responsible for a program area within a work unit or department.
Receives general direction from Senior Traffic Sign Supervisor.
Exercises direct supervision over assigned maintenance and technical personnel.

Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible journey level experience performing duties similar to those of a Senior Traffic Sign Maintenance Worker in Placer County.
Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college course work in silk screening processing, engineering drafting or design, construction technology or a related field.
Relevant, equivalent experience (performing the same or similar job requiring similar knowledge, skills, and abilities) may be substituted for the required education as determined by the Personnel Department.

Training & Experience Rating (100%) Based upon responses to the supplemental questionnaire, the applicant’s education, training and experience will be evaluated using a pre-determined formula. Scores from this evaluation will determine applicant ranking and placement on the eligible list.
