Introduction

This will be a Governor's Letter Appointment located in the Oklahoma City area.

Governor's Appointment are limited in duration & must be renewed each legislative session.

Bi-Weekly Hiring Rate $846.12; A bi-weekly Benefit Allowance of $295.84 will be provided to assist in paying for insurance premiums.

Applicants must have a high school education or equivalent GED.  A minimum of 6 months customer services in a clerical setting. 

Answer incoming telephone calls to gather information from customers filing for unemployment insurance benefits.  Enter information into computer system for processing.  Answer questions on the telephone concerning established claims for unemployment insurance benefits or provide general information concerning the unemployment insurance process.   Perform various fact-finding duties from claimants and employers, after proper training, with the ultimate goal of making determinations of the allowance of unemployment benefits.  Perform various clerical duties or support activities related to the claims for unemployment insurance benefits.

 

Conclusion

Veteran’s preference points apply only for initial appointment in the classified service.
