The Information Services Division is seeking a full time IS Application Specialist for our Oklahoma City location providing services to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. This is an Unclassified, position within Oklahoma State Government. In addition to a generous Benefits Packet the annual salary for this position is up to $51,000.00 based on education and experience.
The primary purpose of this position is the planning and development of automated applications systems to support the business needs of an organization. This includes review and analysis of user functions and activities, evaluation of available resources and current systems, and the development of appropriate programs or systems. Works with users, management and others to identify and define long and short-range information services requirements.
Reviews and analyzes organization's business needs, discuss solutions and develop plan of approach.
Analyzes and designs program logic to support development of new or enhanced systems.
Performs all aspects of systems design.
Prepares program documentation to support new or enhanced systems and applications.
Conducts or coordinates user acceptance, performance stress, regression and integration testing.
Participates in structured walk-through to review systems and provide training and support.
Performs ongoing maintenance and review of applications systems and programs.
bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems or related field
two years experience in computer programming
an equivalent combination of education and experience
