The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) is a government agency providing services to other Oklahoma government agencies. We work toward the goals of capitalizing on available resources, continuing to seek cost saving opportunities and elevating our level of service. Our mission is to be a “FAST” agency: Flatter, Agile, Streamlined, and Technology-enabled. We are seeking a full time, unclassified Cost Accountant for our Finance Division in Oklahoma City. We offer a comprehensive Benefits Packet, and a competitive annual salary up to $45,000 based on education and experience.
The Cost Accountant performs professional cost accounting work; examines, analyzes and verifies project cost records and reports; assists in the preparation of financial reports; advises and provides information on cost accounting practices and procedures; assists in the design, development and evaluation of workflow processes for the project costing system; may provide work direction to technical and clerical employees; performs related work as required. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or a closely related field, and two (2) years of professional accounting experience in the State of Oklahoma Accounting System. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of cost accounting for each year of the required degree; plus two (2) years of professional accounting experience in the State of Oklahoma Accounting System.
Preference may be given for CPA or CGFM certification.
Preference may be given to candidates with PeopleSoft experience.
