The Procurement Specialist assists in the duties involving administration of the State Use Program which provides the state products and services from people with disabilities. Additionally, facilitates and manages the physical and technical operation of program policies and procedures, creates and maintains research and statistical reports using a variety of methods, coordinates and manages public events, meetings, and training sessions.
This position requires Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a closely related field, plus two years of experience involving contracting and purchasing for an agency or institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of technical experience in purchasing or in writing and/or reviewing purchase requisitions or specifications, for each year of the required education. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, is required.
Candidates must have a Certified Procurement Officer (CPO) certification to be considered.
Preference may be given to candidates with PeopleSoft experience.
