The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) is seeking experienced IS Application Specialists at various levels that are creative and like to work in a fast paced .NET environment with the opportunity to build award winning applications in the medical field. These positions will work at ODMHSAS/Central Office – Shepherd Mall. These are full time, unclassified positions in State government and will be eligible for a generous total rewards package. These positions will work on a team of specialist to develop, maintain and enhance the department’s intranet and internet ASP.NET applications and portals.
• Performs analysis, design, coding, and software testing to satisfy the requirements of the department’s business staff while using the standards and procedures established by the Central Administration IS staff.
• Assist in the management of the agency’s relational databases.
• Provides written and oral reports of programming activities and progress to immediate supervisor, IS management, and other department staff as required.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field, OR 6 months Client/Server or Web application development in a relational database environment (Oracle or Microsoft SQL/Server); AND 6 months experience in any of the following: ASP, ASP.Net (C# or VB.Net), SQL Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Visual Studio, Adobe, VBScript or JAVA, Silverlight, AJAX.
