MAJOR FUNCTION
MAJOR DUTIES

Monitors compliance with Federal Aviation Administration and Transportation Security Administration Regulations.

Becomes knowledgeable of and applies procedures as contained in Federal Aviation Advisory Circulars.

Issues NOTAMS.

Performs daily and nightly airfield inspections.

Responds to airfield operational concerns.

Monitors Preferential Runway Use Program (noise abatement) for compliance.

Responds to issues from the airport tenants and the public.

Gains a working knowledge and enforces Aviation Authority policies and procedures regarding airport management.

Monitors airport terminal operations

Assigned to various departments to gain hands-on experience and assist in projects.

Performs other related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of the functions, activities, requirements and objectives of the specific program/functional area to which assigned.
- Skill in the application of supervisory techniques.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with others within and outside own organization.
- Ability to use initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- May require specialized technical knowledge of a specific operational area, and demonstrated ability to perform and/or supervise specialized work in that area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Note: Minimum Qualifications MUST be attained before the recruitment ending date.
Bachelors degree; and
Two years of experience directly related to airport operations at a civil, large or medium HUB airport; and
Possession of a Valid Driver License.
OR
A Master's Degree; and
One year of experience directly related to airport operations at a civil, large or medium HUB airport; and
Possession of a Valid Driver License.
OR
An Associate's Degree; and
Four years of experience directly related to airport operations at a civil, large or medium HUB airport; and
Possession of a Valid Driver License.
OR
Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; and
Five years of experience directly related to airport operations at a civil, large or medium HUB airport; and
Possession of a Valid Driver License.

STEP #7 Hiring Agency/Department will review Published/ Active Eligibility list. | |

Conclusion
OPEN AND CLOSED RECRUITMENTS: We are running concurrent Closed (Internal) and Open recruitments. Internal candidates on a closed eligibility list must be considered first, prior to a selection being made from the open eligibility list. To be considered for the same classification under Open recruitment, internal candidates must also apply under the open recruitment process.
