The incumbent in this position orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient (s) clinical problems and health care needs. Duties include: diagnosing and treating sexually transmitted diseases within Public Health Sexual and Reproductive Health scope of practice, providing family planning services under Title X program, counseling and educating patients for healthy behaviors.
Selective Requirements must be met in addition to the job requirements. Applicants who do not possess the selective requirement will not be qualified.
Note: Applicants qualifying based on a temporary license must have applied for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Delaware or hold a valid Delaware Registered Nurse license and have graduated from a Master’s or certificate advanced practice nurse program. The applicant must obtain the temporary Advanced Practice Nurse license permit prior to hire date and then possess full licensure credentials within a two year, three month period. To obtain full licensure, candidates must complete 1000 clock hours of training and/or pass the certifying exam for their clinical nursing specialty, if applicable.
Union: As a condition of accepting employment, the person selected for this position shall join and pay dues to the labor organization or may, instead not join but pay a service fee no greater than the dues. The labor organization has been elected by employees as their representative for collective bargaining and other work related purposes.
As a condition of hire you must possess a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
