The incumbent will be responsible for checking curfews for the most serious offenders throughout the state. Responsibilities include actively looking for and apprehending youth who have absconded from court ordered supervision, transporting youth from out of state placements or returns of youth who have absconded, providing staff escorts to GPS installers as well as probation officers when there is a need for additional support in the field, filing charges for damaged/missing GPS equipment, as well as breach of release charges for youth who are not abiding by their bail conditions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Senior Probation and Parole Officer
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
A satisfactory criminal background check and psychological assessment is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as a part of the conditional offer of hire.
Pre-employment Drug Testing: Upon a conditional offer, you must undergo pre-employment drug testing as part of the hiring process.
