The incumbent reports to the Office of Animal Welfare Executive Director and assists with the administration of the Delaware Animal Services Program. Duties: performing statistical analysis and writing reports, developing policies and procedures, managing contracts and providing technical support to contractors, seeking funding for program services, recommending operations improvements, assisting with preparation of federal grants and reports, managing and monitoring First State Financials (FSF) data for quality control, developing program budget, monitoring program income and expenditures.
Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.
Six months experience in budget management and control which includes managing a budget for the purpose of keeping expenditures within the limitations of available appropriations and available revenue and maintaining, monitoring, projecting and controlling a budget within set policies and procedures.
