The Position

The Human Resources Analyst classification series perform professional level to complex personnel work in employee recruitment, selection, position classification, employee relations, training, employee benefits, workers' compensation and/or affirmative action; conducts analytical studies into personnel and human resources issues; provides staff support to the County's management team.

This Human Resources Analyst classification series are "at-will" senior management positions and are exempt from civil service.  Incumbents serve at the discretion of the Appointment Authority.

Human Resources Analyst (Entry)  $5,220.82- $6,345.93/month

Education/Training: A Bachelor's Degree is required from an accredited college or university, preferably in business administration, human resources management or public administration.

Human Resources Analyst (Journey)  $6,341.16 - $7,707.72/month

Experience: Two (2) years of professional level experience in personnel work including recruitment, selection, classification, labor relations or risk management.

Education/Training: A Bachelor's Degree is required from an accredited college or university, preferably in business administration, public administration, human resources or a related field.

BENEFITS

n Solano County offers a cafeteria-style medical package with health benefits, offered through CalPERS. The County contribution for family coverage for the 2018 calendar year is $1,520.73 per month. The County offers a cash back provision for those who choose employee-only or who waive medical insurance coverage. Employees enrolled in employee plus two or more coverage receive a $50/month supplemental County contribution into the cafeteria plan.  

 

n Dental and vision insurances for the employee and eligible dependents are paid 100% by the County. 

 

n Solano County participates in CalPERS retirement and contributes to Social Security.

 

n Vacation is accrued at approximately 15 days per year for the first 10 years. Sick leave accrues at approximately 12 days per year.

 

nEffective July 1 of each year, 80 hours of administrative leave are granted.

 

n The County observes 12 fixed, paid holidays per year.

 

n Employees are eligible to receive an additional 2.5% longevity pay, per level, after the completion of continuous service at 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years and may receive credit for prior years of service employed with California cities, counties, joint power authorities, and other special districts.

A Bachelor's Degree is required for these positions.  All candidates are encouraged to submit a copy of their college diploma (verifying the degree, date earned and area of specialization) or official/unofficial transcripts (verifying the courses and units completed) by the current application review date.  However, proof of education requirement will be required at anytime during the selection process.

 

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:  Candidates who attended a college or university that is accredited by a foreign or non-U.S. accrediting agency must have their educational units evaluated by an educational evaluation service.  The result must be submitted to the Human Resources Department no later than the close of the recruitment.  Please contact the local college or university to learn where this service can be obtained.
