A.I.D. Company
A.I.D. is well known for producing tight tolerance precision fabricated tubular and machined parts. As a supplier to the aircraft industry, the company also provides Mil-Spec painting, plating, and nondestructive testing to the most exacting customer standards in the industry. These standards are enforced by a conscientious work force with each teammate dedicated to quality at every juncture.
A.I.D. is relocating manufacturing activities to a site in Oconee County, SC.
Potential employment opportunities exist for:
QA Technician Inspector
Wage range: $12.76-$17.29 per hour
Position Description: Inspect product quality to insure conformity to all customers and purchase order requirements.
Job Duties and Requirements:

Perform first piece reviews and approvals, in-process inspections, and final inspections as needed.

Must be able to read and understand measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauging, etc…

Read and interpret blue prints.

Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.

Complete First Article Inspection Reports as needed.

Identify parts as required. i.e. ink stamp, tag, vibra-ping, etc…
-
Perform hardness and conductivity measurements.
-
Insure use of calibrated equipment. Assist with calibration of measuring tools and devices.

Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.

Act in professional manner. Be able to talk to customer representatives or auditors, and discuss technical information or refer to the appropriate person(s).

Maintain good attendance.

Complete and maintain necessary paperwork as required.

Perform basic troubleshooting as required.

Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull objects that are 85 pounds or heavier.

Must be able to pass basic vision requirements.
-
5 + years of inspection/quality experience in manufacturing.
-
Experience in Aerospace quality or related field a plus.
Additional qualifications and requirements include:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen/physical
· Tobacco-free campus
· Criminal felony background not permissible
· Demonstrated stable work history
· Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Commuting to Northeast GA may be required until full production move to Oconee County
