Potential employment opportunities exist for:
CMM Operator
Job Duties:

Create inspection programs for coordinate measuring machines.

Ensure the machine is properly working and calibrated through programming scripts, tests and production.

Write or edit programs for precision machinery; Brown & Sharp Software PC-DMIS.

Determine program requirements based on design and engineering requirements.

Operate precision machinery as needed.
-
Train inspectors on how to run CMM with limited operator interaction.
-
Set up and conduct capability studies to understand long-term feasibility of products.
-
Serve as point of contact for training staff of metrology issues.
-
Responsible for fixtures and new parts.
-
Provide measurement system analysis on parts.
-
Support design engineering on new development projects.
-
Be able to communicate effectively on deviations to specifications.
-
Provide support and clarification of specification/print reviews.
Experience Required:
-
Two year technical degree or equivalent experience required.
-
Minimum of two years operating a CMM
-
Relevant certifications preferred, such as ASQ.
-
Experience in quality inspection.
-
Must be able to use appropriate programming.
-
Possess a working knowledge of statistics and data analysis, GD&T.
-
Must be highly skillful and responsible.
-
Must have excellent knowledge of three dimensional geometry, electronics and engineering.

Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environments.

Excellent data management and report making skills.
-
Must be capable of reading and interpreting the industry designs, manufacturing plans and product blueprints.

Knowledge in metrology.
-
Must be willing to travel to Alabama for training.

Must be willing to do other tasks as assigned during ramp-up phase(s), which may include installation of machinery, writing SOP’s, etc
Starting wage is $17 - $19/h depending on experience. Great opportunity for career growth.
