Full-time direct-hire opportunities are available for:  

 

Material Handler - Lead

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

The Material Handler Lead is responsible for maintaining a designated department. This individual will also troubleshoot routine problems in the assigned department. Approximately 15% of the incumbent’s work hours will be spent directing the activities of the Material Handlers in the department and keeping the Supervisor/Manager informed of work backlog/schedule.

 

 

  • Respond to customer/internal inquiries
  • Responsible for maintaining sufficient stock of necessary supplies
  • Notify Supervisor/Manager when shipping supplies need to be ordered
  • Pull daily orders as necessary
  • Receive incoming freight as necessary
  • Ship orders as necessary
  • Direct activities of Material Handlers
  • Adhere to all warehouse safety guidelines and specifications
  • Other duties within the warehouse as directed by the Supervisor or Manager

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3-5 years of experience minimum in working in a warehouse environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience providing guidance, training, and support to others in a team environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well with people
  • Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to learn new computer programs, experience working with ERP
  • This position may require some heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs., heavier weights with assistance)

  • Must be able to work an 8 - 12 hour shift while standing with periodic walking

 

 

 Position pays $14 per hour.  Working hours are first shift. Lindstrom offers a comprehensive benefits package.
