Doffer
Job Description: We are currently seeking a Doffer to perform various manual duties and remove empty spindles or bobbins from machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain quality of fiber
-
Remove full bobbins from machine spindles, deposits on table, and places empty bobbins on spindles of machine
-
Package the rolls
-
Weigh rolls and record
-
Transport rolls for loading
-
Bale and staple multiple rolls Load scrap fiber in picker
-
Adjust tools (knives) as needed
-
Clean equipment
-
Observe machinery for malfunctions and inform appropriate personnel of problems encountered
-
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
One to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Valid Driver’s License
-
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions using units of American money, and weight measurement, volume and distance
-
Average communication skills, both verbal and written
-
Ability to observe and make decisions based on those observations
