Job Purpose: Running of metal-cutting machines. Run machines for serial production. Disposed parts or raw materials have to be inserted or clamped (respectively reference points have to be approached) in devices of CNC controlled machines or others. Start the machine and monitor it. Produce parts according to the batch document and written or verbal instructions. Pack parts into specified packing means and keep records of the process you have made. In case of any machine failure, stop the machine. Eliminate simple failures due to jammed chips. If necessary, produce a first part and ask the Quality Manger to release it. Correct setting data in case of deviations. Change of tools. Change prepared tools according to specifications. Regard wear of tools and economic tooling usage. Keep records of the change. Get new tools against stock requisition. Inspection of parts. Control parts regarding quality, dimensional accuracy, free from defects and completeness with usual gauges (such as micrometer, preset gauges). Keep records. Check gauges regularly and if necessary, calibrate it. Block defect parts, start sorting action and, if necessary, rework of the parts. Re-check setting of the machine by simple means (e.g. sample parts) and if necessary, adjust it. Maintenance. Perform maintenance and cleaning according to specification and keep records.
