 Qualifications and requirements include:

 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field from an accredited college or university, OR Associate's Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Production Supervisor position, OR High school diploma (or GED) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Production Supervisor position.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in painting, assembly processes, manufacturing or production operations environment.
  • Able to respond effectively to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated Safety and Quality focus Excellent problem solving ability
  • Experience in a leadership role within a heavy manufacturing business
  • Change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm to drive change
  • Ability to deal effectively with complex, ambiguous and contradictory alternatives
  • Ability to develop credibility with employees, manager and peers Inclusive leadership style and proven ability to build a connection with the team through personal involvement and trust
  • Strong understanding of workshop practices / processes
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computer tools (MS Office minimum)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Able to work 1st shift and weekends (when required)

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:

 

  • Routinely required to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Physical demands of the job include: bending, stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, lifting (up to 40 pounds), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering and climbing; Also working in a plant environment with varying temperatures

 

Note: Position requires a minimum of 4 weeks (up to 6 weeks) travel and training at our plant in Hiroshima, Japan.
