Vapor Apparel
Vapor Apparel designs and manufactures customizable performance apparel and private label clothing. The company is focused on developing sustainable apparel solutions and has developed a “Made in the America’s” product line that maximizes a sustainable supply chain.
Position Available:
Custom Sewing Operator
-
Experience in the knowledge of Sewing Apparel with a single needle, over lock, safety stitch, neck tape machine, folders and cover stitch.

3-5 years of experience required in the sewing of apparel.

Will sew custom garments ordered by individual customers to their requested specifications.

Must be able to train others in this process and monitor quality of garments produced.

Ability to work with product development team on new product lines.

Will sew complete garment using all sewing equipment with various fabrics (from performance polyesters to blends) using the above mentioned sewing machines.

Mount attachments such as needles, cutting blades and adjust machine guides.

Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunction.

Activate and adjust machine controls to regulate stitching speed and length.

Must be able to perform close visual inspection of material for defects from the sewing process.

Must be able to move up to 40 lbs. when working with materials.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Must have the ability to use fingers, hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving of materials.

Must have the ability to use either hand or foot controls to operate machines.

Must be able to communicate openly, listen effectively and work well with others.

Salary depending on experience.

Must demonstrate ability to sew garments on sewing equipment.
