Toray Carbon Fibers America, Inc. is the world's largest producer of PAN (polyacrylonitrile)-based carbon fibers; and is in the process of building a carbon fiber plant in Moore, SC. 

 

 

 

Potential employment opportunities exist for:

Electrical Technicians

 

 

 

 

 

 Job Duties:

 

 

 

  • Perform electrical repairs on equipment.
  • Implement changes to the electrical system.
  • Determine the materials necessary to make the repair, obtain the materials required, and plan the work schedule to make the repair.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled equipment checks.
  • Inspect the work of outside contractors to ensure proper installation.
  • Provide contractors with information about the scope of work to be performed.  Serve as a resource for contractors for information about the plant and equipment.
  • Must be able to handle physically demanding work and operate in a team environment.
  • May be requested to attend training in out of state location for at least two months.

 

 

 

 

 Requirements:

 


  • All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Minimum of 8-10 years of similar or related experience is required. 
  • Related experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Equivalent to a college degree (non-technical discipline) or multi-craft skills acquired through extensive on-the-job training or apprenticeship programs or in-depth industry and job specific technician skills acquired through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training is required.

Training will be at no charge to trainees. 

Successful completion of the training program carries no obligation to accept any offer of employment, nor is an offer guaranteed.

 

 Starting wage is $25.00 per hour with performance based progression until employee reaches top out rate of $31.99.
