Toray Carbon Fibers America, Inc.

 

 

 

Toray Carbon Fibers America, Inc. is the world's largest producer of PAN (polyacrylonitrile)-based carbon fibers; and is in the process of building a carbon fiber plant in Moore, SC. 

 

 

 

Potential employment opportunities exist for:

Production Technicians - Spinning and Carbonization

 

 

 

 Requirements:

 

 

  • Must be able to handle physically demanding work and operate in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work a 12 hour rotating shift plus overtime when required.
  • Must be able to operate several types of equipment.
  • Must possess routine maintenance skills, basic mathematics skills, ability to analyze and locate information, mechanical aptitude, communication skills, computer and interpersonal skills.
  • May be requested to attend training in out of state location for at least two months.
  • All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years manufacturing experience required.
  • Related experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must meet Toray minimum WorkKeys score requirements.

Training will be at no charge to trainees. 

Successful completion of the training program carries no obligation to accept any offer of employment, nor is an offer guaranteed.

 

 Starting wage for this postion is $19.23 per hour with performance based progression raises every six months until employee reaches top out rate of $28.33.
