Potential employment opportuntiies available for:
Waste Water Treatment Operators
General Assembly associates will be responsible for the assembly of structural parts, components and finished goods, using hand and power tools. The incumbent’s performance will have a direct impact on the efficiency of the area’s operation and production.
Key Responsibilities
-
Read, understand and ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws
-
Conduct routine sampling and testing as required by established procedures
-
Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plant equipment
-
Prepare and dispense chemicals as needed to treat waste
-
Report any deviation that exists in readings and/or normal processes
-
Analyze data as it relates to treatment chemicals, laboratory chemicals and supplies needed
-
Coordinate preventative maintenance as needed
-
Assist other Waste Water Treatment Operators as needed
Critical Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED equivalent
-
South Carolina Waste Treatment Operator Certification (A/B/C/D)
-
Must follow all safety requirements as it relates to Waste Water Treatment
-
Must take and follow direction from others with little to no supervision required
-
Ability to stand, lift, push and pull for long periods of time
-
Ability to work different shift assignments, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
-
Proficiency in basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
-
Able to stand for long periods of time
-
Basic computer skills
-

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience operating a forklift
