Quality Assurance Technician- Finished Goods 

 

  

 

Job Description:  The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that materials and products meet quality checks before going on the market. Employee will also assess the condition of the product, from its raw material stage to being a completed product; ensuring that it is not damaged or have any defects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Maintaining and enhancing the quality of the finished product
  • Implementing the quality standards set by the company and even by law
  • Completing quality reports such as documentation of sample specifications;  filing and maintaining reports for future research if needed
  • Assessing customer complaints
  • Rectifying any errors in a speedy manner and reporting findings
  • Maintaining gauges and testers
  • Collecting data
  • Performing failure and routine analysis testing
  • Auditing materials and processes, including training associates on quality measures
  • Checking for regulatory compliance
  • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related duties and needed

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required;  Associates degree or technical degree desirable
  • 2-4 years previous quality assurance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs continuously; 50 lbs frequently
  • Ability to work in both hot and cold environments
  • Above average communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to observe and make decisions based on those observations
  • Ability to resolve issues with technical deficiency
  • High level of detail orientation
  • Ability to multi-task, handling multiple issues/questions
  • Previous use of measuring gauges and testers to determine specifications
  • Average computer skills – Microsoft outlook, word, and excel
  • SAP experience a plus
