 Electrical Technician II

 

Job Description:  Supervise and participate in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repairs of electrical appliances, systems, facilities and related electronic controls of varying design or complexity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assists all teams during the installation, maintenance and repair of process equipment.
  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
  • Assist in the establishment of preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems and facilities.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance at all times.
  • Train and instruct new employees.
  • Prepare reports and analyses indicating work progress, performance and maintenance records and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
  • Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
  • Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

 

 

 

 

  

 

 Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Maintenance or related field
  • 5 - 7 years of proven experience in the industrial electrical field required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas
  • Completion of OSHA Trainings Highly Preferred
  • Electrical Design
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
  • Capacitance Banks, Industrial Power
  • Safety Conscience
  • Attention to Detail
  • Capable of lifting 25 pounds
