Within Trelleborg Wheel Systems Business Area, the Agricultural and Forestry Tires Business Unit is opening a new manufacturing plant in South Carolina. Based in our site in Spartanburg, SC, we are looking for Continuous Improvement Engineer
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in continuous improvement with minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience.
- Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949, ISO 16001 and OHSAS 18001 will be considered as an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity and detail required.
- Manufacturing process problem solving and automotive quality experience required.
- Must have working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- High familiarity in using PC and network including Microsoft Office, MS Project, Mini tab, AutoCad 20 (AutoCad 30 preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity and detail required. Identify the highest value cost savings and coordinate to drive the projects.
- Be involved with the production and quality department to ensure we are producing the highest quality product.
- Develop new processes and programs as needed.
- Establish a good rapport and presence with management and employees.
- To set and communicate standards and best practices to employees for understanding of expectations.
- Assist with creating and managing reporting and progress to management.
- Strive to enhance continuous improvement results by scheduled audits.
- Knowledge of six sigma and a strong believer in lean process, office and shop floor.
- Must be passionate about process improvements.
- Tire and rubber manufacturing experience will be considered as an asset.
