E&I Engineering USA Corp.
Formed in 1986 in Ireland, the E&I Engineering Group manufacture bespoke electrical switchgear and busduct systems for large infrastructure projects which include Data Centers, Banks, Airports, Sports Stadiums etc. In addition to the Irish facility, the Group also has a manufacturing facility in the United Arab Emirates. The Group is setting up a facility in South Carolina (SC) to serve the North American market and are now embarking on a recruitment drive to meet our skills needs within our SC manufacturing facility.

ESTIMATOR
Job Function:
Preparation of detailed material take-offs and quotations for large scale prestigious electrical switchgear and busduct projects in diverse applications throughout US.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Liaison with Contractors, Consulting Engineers and end-users to develop and comprehensive quotation.

Preparation of equipment layout drawings.

Setting up of project folders and issuing of project details for the Engineers.

Confer with Engineers and Sales team on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or on site to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.

Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.

Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.

Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.

Establish and maintain tendering process and conduct negotiations.

Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.

Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
