E&I Engineering USA Corp.

 

Formed in 1986 in Ireland, the E&I Engineering Group manufactures made-to-order electrical switchgear and busduct systems for large infrastructure projects which include Data Centers, Banks, Airports, Sports Stadiums etc. In addition to the Irish facility, the Group also has a manufacturing facility in the United Arab Emirates. The Group is setting up a facility in South Carolina (SC) to serve the North American market and are now embarking on a recruitment drive to meet our skills needs within our SC manufacturing facility.

ASSEMBLER

 

Job Function:

 

Qualified individual to work as a part of a production assembly line pertaining to the product build specifications of electrical switchgear and or busduct systems.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Must be personally responsible and committed to the quality of one’s own work.
  • Must be able to work to required production standards.
  • Bolts, clips, rivets, screws, or otherwise fastens component parts of assembly together, using hand tools or power tools.
  • Positions, fits, or aligns parts following diagrams or work orders.
  • Drills, taps or reams holes to prepare parts for assembly.
  • Files, grinds, planes, sands or buffs parts to remove burrs, alter shape, improve fit or smooth finish using hand tools or power tools.
  • Reads process sheets, to determine assembly sequence, machine and tooling requirements, measurements and tolerances.
  • Cleans dust, dirt, oil and other foreign matter from finished product.
  • Records production data on paper or in computer as deemed necessary.
  • May operate crane/hoists to move large work pieces.
  • Insure accuracy in maintaining production records such as quantities and types produced.
  • Must be able to maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and comply with all safety rules and procedures.
  • Must wear and maintain the required protective clothing and equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel- or composite-toe safety shoes.
