Quality/OSHA Engineer

 

Job DescriptionMaintain resources, capabilities, and systems while ensuring integrity and overall quality of products, materials, and procedures in a cost-effective and value-added manner, directly for the company and our customers.

 

Essential Skills: 

 

PPAP, APQP, MSA, IQ/OQ/PQ, DOE, Measurement experience with Vision systems/OGP/CMM and Instron. Hands on experience in implementing ISO 13485 and ISO 9001.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead continuous improvement activities that target the elimination of waste and enhance the overall quality system to reduce internal defects and external customer complaints
  • Manage supply base activities to implement robust corrective actions and drive lasting systemic process improvements
  • Troubleshoot part specific problems and system related issues utilizing problem-solving techniques (ie. 8D methodology, 6 sigma, DOE, 5 why, Shanin, etc.)
  • Support APQP process through review and update of PFMEA, control plans, work instructions, and other quality system documentation
  • Improve error and mistake proofing (poke-yoke) methods by working closely with manufacturing and quality teams
  • Perform gage R&R studies and participate in metrology activities as necessary
  • Participate in new program launches as quality representative at all stages of the programs
  • Monitor and maintain adherence to all GMP, Clean room, OSHA and ISO procedures for all internal/external staff
  • Ensure execution of all Quality Assurance tasks through the production process in accordance with internal procedures, and customer directed requirements
  • Oversee scheduled production, accompanying reporting, and tasks of all related personnel
  • Ensure all paperwork and records meet Quality Assurance and customer contracted requirements (Manufacturing Control Sheets)

 

 

 

 

 Qualifications:

  • College diploma or equivalent experience
  • ASQ-CQE
  • Fluent computer skills
  • WHIMIS training or comparable Hazardous Material training
  • Knowledge of GMP, Clean room, OSHA and ISO procedures
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and clearly understand English
