The company is now hiring for its satellite operation in Greenville, SC.

Potential employment opportunities exist for:

 

 

Production Supervisor

 

Purpose: 

 

 

Supervise employees to meet production, maintenance and sanitation objectives while maintaining high quality standards. Support production operations to assure achievement of the production schedule.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Partner with line mechanic to plan, coordinate, oversee and execute machinery changeovers, setups and startups utilizing production, maintenance and sanitation personnel per the production schedule, QA display, GMP’s safety and professional quality standards.
  • Coordinate efforts with production, maintenance, and sanitation staff to assure on-time startups and to minimize downtime.
  • Observe and analyze manufacturing processes, setups, staffing levels, and equipment functionality to identify issues or improvement opportunities. Serve as liaison with production, maintenance and R&D functions to make recommendations for resolution and modifications in QA display.
  • Assure that all necessary quality checks are conducted during the shift, assure that employees are performing assigned tasks within QA display and GMP guidelines, monitor scheduled versus actual production rate.
  • Meet with plant manager and other department representatives to ensure efficiency and to plan ahead to avoid potential problems.
  • Monitor employee performance and attendance and respond accordingly. Assign subordinates for lunches, breaks and schedule rotation daily. Conduct performance evaluations.
  • Complete all necessary reports and paperwork.
  • Maintain clean, safe and efficient work areas at all times and follow GMP’s.
 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Thorough knowledge of processes and equipment utilized in the area.
  • Good organizational and communication skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing instructions and situations.
  • Knowledge of Sweet Street emergency procedures.
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting ability.
  • Excellent attendance with a strong record of reliability for achieving goals.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (read, write and converse) in order to receive written and verbal job and safety instructions, comprehend hazardous material labeling, follow production schedule, and prepare graphs, weights and other production reports as required.
