Standard Textile has positions available to support the recently added terry towel manufacturing operation located at 100 Highpoint Drive in Union. Founded in 1940, Standard Textile is a leading global provider of total solutions in the institutional textiles and apparel markets.  The company manufactures textiles for customers in the healthcare, hospitality, decorative products and industrial laundry markets.

 

Potiential employment opportunties exist for:

Quality Assurance Manger

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ability to identify problems and/or potential problems and then to investigate root cause, as well as initiate effective corrective actions in a resourceful & timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others on
  • Quality Control activities/requirements and decisions.
  • Responsible for all waste numbers at the manufacturing floor as well as the sewing floor.
  • Manage the customer complaint handling system from STC and determine root causes.
  • Responsible for conducting process audits in manufacturing plants, as well as select vendors.
  • Responsible for conducting audits of Quality Assurance auditors/inspectors to ensure all auditing procedures are being followed.
  • Work with Plant QA auditors/inspectors to improve inspection competence, and product knowledge.
  • Maintain all current standards, reports and records and distribute as needed
  • Coordinate and track special projects, repair jobs, and inspections from initiation through to disposition of product.
  • Communicates quality issues to suppliers and follows debit process when needed. Evaluate, test and approve new or revised products.
  • Ability to work effectively without constant supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years management experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience
    • Good communications skills and ability to read/write English
    • Use of computer software programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Familiarity with JD Edwards software or similar program

    Shift: 1st
