in recruiting an on-the-job training for its manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, SC.
The Heiche Group is a Germany-based company with its newest production facility located in Spartanburg, SC. Heiche US Surface Technology LP started operation in 2013 and wants to be a partner to the local automotive industry for chemical surface treatment of metal parts. Close cooperation with the German headquarters gives us the advantage of the most modern process equipment and the service of a wide variety of manufacturing processes where environmental protection is the top priority.
Full-time positions are available for:
Laboratory & Waste Water Technician
-
Responsible for all functions of the waste water treatment center including the running and cleaning of the equipment to keep it in good standing order

Perform titration, testing and documentation of the chemical production process and evaluate the chemical add-ons to stay in specification
-
Perform metal treatment tests, for example salt spray tests or coating thickness tests
-
Manage the order process and storage of chemicals
-
Clean lab equipment and lab work areas
-
Assist other technicians or professional staff with routine tasks and provide support to other production staff
-
Communicate and consult with engineers, supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel to ensure accurate analyses and reliable customer service

Apply education to solve technical problems encountered during the course of completing assigned tasks.

Perform routine maintenance and apply troubleshooting skills

3 years Laboratory experience
-
Operational knowledge of titration, photometer, ASS (atomic absorption spectrophotometer), and other equipment
-
Knowledge of EPA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO TS 16949 standards
-
Physical and Chemical waste water operator license is a plus
-
Good computer skills; proficiency with Word and Excel

Ability to apply basic statistics and compare data trends

Effective verbal and written communication; interpersonal and team-building skills

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, prioritizing and follow-up skills
-
Foreign travel for up to two weeks may be required.
