Drawing Machine Operator

Job Description: We are seeking Drawing Machine Operator to operate machines to convert raw textile fibers into continuous sliver.

Qualifications and Requirements include:

High school diploma or GED required.
Light to moderate physical effort required.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Check the safety doors of machines to ensure they are closed and safe for operation.
Start machines, monitor operation of blowing and carding machines and make adjustments as needed.
Deliver sliver cans as needed, make sure there’s enough empty cans in the machine.
Lead slivers into the drawing machine, make sure there’s enough sliver supply for each machine.
Will perform scheduled cleaning of machines and follow prescribed safety regulations.
Notify supervisors or mechanics of equipment malfunctions.
