 Blowing and Carding Machine Operator

 

Job Description: We are seeking Blowing and Carding Machine Operator to operate machines to convert raw textile fibers into continuous sliver.

 

 

  

 

 

  Qualifications and Requirements include: 

 

 

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Light to moderate physical effort required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Roles and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Check the safety doors of machines to ensure they are closed and safe for operation.
  • Start machines, monitor operation of blowing and carding machines and make adjustments as needed.
  • Will deliver sliver cans as needed and make sure there’s enough empty cans in the machine.
  • Will perform scheduled cleaning of machines and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Notify supervisors or mechanics of equipment malfunctions.
