Under the ownership of Oceana Gold, the Haile Gold Mine of Lancaster County, South Carolina is transforming regional economic development while setting new standards for environmental protection throughout the industry.

By applying proven, modern technology and eco-friendly practices that go beyond regulatory requirements, millions of dollars are being invested in the community to build the mine and extract its estimated 30.5 million tonnes at 2.06 g/t for 2 million ounces of gold reserves⁽¹⁾. When all is said and done, more than 800 jobs will be created in an effort to make the Haile Gold Mine the most productive mine of its kind east of the Mississippi River – and the industry’s most environmentally sound operation throughout the United States. ⁽¹⁾

Mobile Mechanic III

 Qualifications and requirements include:

• Two years of repair and maintenance of heavy equipment OR completion of a two year associate degree in diesel repair technology and one year experience in repair and maintenance of heavy equipment  
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, drive trains, hydraulic and electrical systems
• Ability to read, use, and understand schematics and service manuals 
• Ability to work safely wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment 
• High school diploma, equivalent or higher education
