Haile Gold Mine

Under the ownership of Romarco Minerals, Inc., the Haile Gold Mine of Lancaster County will be the industry’s leader in environmentally sound and safe mining operations through applying proven, modern technology and eco-friendly practices that go beyond regulatory requirements.  Haile Gold Mine was one of America’s first operating gold mines.  After acquiring all necessary permits, the next phase of the project is to begin mining processes. 

Potential employment opportunities exist for:

Mine Surveyor

 Qualifications and requirements include:

• Knowledge of survey principles
• Knowledge of surveying instruments such as GPS, robotic total stations, laser levels, and compensating levels 
• Experience using commercial computer survey programs for data management
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCad
• One year mine surveying experience or comparable
• Ability to work safely wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment 
• High school diploma, equivalent or higher education
