readySC™ , Tri-County Technical College and First Quality Tissue® have partnered to conduct a special training program for employment opportunities which will exist at First Quality's Anderson, SC plant.  Training applications are currently being accepted for the following positions:

Paper Machine Operator 

Purpose and role of job:  Assists the Lead and DCS Operators to ensure safety, quality, customer service, housekeeping, and record keeping standards are maintained at all times.  Responsible for managing four support functions including raw materials (unloading and delivery to the production floors), operating the virgin pulper bale feeding system, supporting the DCS Operator in the dry end operation, and supporting the Lead Process Operator in the wet end and stock prep operation.

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 
• Previous heavy industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude including ability to operate a forklift
• Mathematical skills to operate and understand laboratory testing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Tobacco/drug-free work environment.
• Pre-employment drug screen is required.
• Training will be held at no charge to trainees.
• Classes will be held during morning and/or evening hours at Tri-County Technical College
• Successful completion of the training program carries no obligation to accept an offer of employment, nor is an offer guaranteed.

• In wet, hot, and cold environments inside and outside the facility
• In ear, eye, and foot protection areas
