The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) is a government agency providing services to other Oklahoma government agencies. The Information Services Division (ISD) is seeking a full-time Proposal Coordinator for our Oklahoma City location.. This is an unclassified position within Oklahoma state government.  OMES offers a comprehensive Benefits Packet and a salary up to $45,000 based on education and experience. 

Daily Activities:

This position is assigned responsibilities related to overall tactical planning and leadership for coordinating the  development of information systems proposals to meet agency requirements for information technology needs.  This includes radio and telephone services, computer processing systems, application development and other forms of information technology services.  The position works with users, senior management and others to identify and define long-range information services requirements, develop a plan of approach, determine costs and resources required, and provide the conduit for the development of proposals for business leadership.

• Coordinates the development of information technology proposals related to hardware, software,  personnel staffing, training and other requirements. 

• Consults with senior management and users regarding their business needs.

• Consults with information technology service owners regarding their outstanding proposals and information technology needs of partners.

• Serves as single point-of-contact for partners requesting services that will require information technology proposals to be created.

• Coordinates the communication of completed and in-progress proposals to partners and senior management.

• Consults with senior management and users regarding their business needs

• Creates interdepartmental procedures and standards for the development and delivery of  information technology.

• Trains staff and partners in the process and procedures of proposal requests, creation and delivery.

• Acts as an expert on the proposal management in various capacities, strategy meetings, and product development opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Business or other related  degree and three years of professional experience.   A master’s degree may be substituted for two years of experience or two years of experience may be substituted for each year of a degree up to a maximum of eight years.
