The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) is a government agency providing services to other Oklahoma government agencies. The Information Services Division (ISD) is seeking a full-time Webmaster to provide IT services to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. This is an unclassified position within Oklahoma state government.  Click here to view our comprehensive Benefits Packet.

As the Webmaster, this position will be responsible for development, design, and implementation of agency web pages, including graphics, animation, and functionality.  Provide ongoing analysis and monitoring of agency Internet and Intranet sites.  This position will also ensure that promoted releases conform to all security standards and other non-functional requirements.  Further responsibility includes planning and deploying of content publishing via various content management systems/technologies, which will require working closely with the respective business areas and agency representatives to understand specific business requirements.  As a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME), this position will make recommendations to the agency Web Content Manager regarding design issues, upgrades, and security, relating to agency Internet and Intranet.  This position, working with respective agency Web Content Manager, will manage and produce agency reporting requirements and web analytics functions for the websites.  Responsibilities also include documentation, maintenance, training and troubleshooting of the websites.  Embracing collaboration and working well with others is expected.

Daily Activities:
 
•Partner with respective agency representatives and agency Web Content Manager, to update, enhance, and maintain current web pages.
•Develop, maintain, and provide support on agency Intranet and Internet sites, to include, but not limited to, key standard web reports and dashboards.
•Insure all Internet Standards are met and no violations occur.
•Monitor for new ways to serve our Internet Members, and for ways to use the Intranet/Internet presence.
•Utilize technology to provide fast, accurate, and secure methods of gaining access to information.
•Promote agency content in a timely matter and collaborate with appropriate representatives to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
•Consult with customer departments leads, organizational units, and fellow team members to establish requirements, scope and plan, and ensure quality delivery of web based products.
•Partner with internal and external content managers, editors, designers, developers, and other agency personnel to ensure sites meet established requirements, align with the brand strategy platform, and meet state/agency web standards.
•Plan for website development and presence, including standards and guidelines for content, based on organization goals and input from stakeholders and accessibility compliance.
•Manages day to day relationship with various stakeholders.
•Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested.

Knowledge and Skills:

•Proven record of providing customer friendly web development and support, along with being an excellent collaborator and communicator with a service-oriented attitude.
•Possess the ability to deliver high quality work on tight deadlines, with demonstrated creativity and attention to detail.
•Knowledge of current issues and trends in website architecture and design and ability to stay current with web technology and design is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required in business information systems, computer science, information science, design, or related field (Other fields may be considered based on relevant work experience) OR at least two years of web server management/development experience in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.

Preferred Experience:
•Industry recognized Internet/Intranet certifications are preferred.
•Experience with Java, Javascript, CSS, HTML, or other applicable website programming is desired.
